Moonlight Cruisin':
Some of us got an early Halloween by "extending" the cruise a little more than
intended. At least two (we think there was more but they're not talking) separate
groups of 10+ cars went straight where they should have made a 90-degree right only to end
up a quarter mile down a one-lane dead-end rock road. Backing up the densely
tree/brush-lined road with a sharp drop-off on one side at midnight was a challenge but no
damage, except to egos, was reported.
Singin' da Blues (and much more):
Hopefully you didn't miss the Saturday night concert in downtown Eureka Springs. Don
Shipps Titanic Blues Band did an outstanding job with a wide variety of music at a much
appreciated moderate volume level. Lots of car-related songs. Even a terrific
rendition of Jimi Hendix' All Along the Watchtower - for us 60's types.
Just across the street from the bandstand, the Class Winners display was impressive in the
downtown lights. And the constant stream of Vettes rumbling by was a show in itself.
